TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  1. Definitions:
    1.1. 'The School' means the London Language Centre, delivering language training through its trading names London Language Centre and English Summer Centre.        
    1.2. 'The Client' means:
    1.2.1. The individual in whose name the booking is made.                                                                               1.2.2. The person, firm or corporation identified as enrolling a Participant on a training course or using The School Services.                                                                                                                                         1.3. 'The Participant' means the person attending a course.                                                                                1.4. 'The Obligations of the Client' means those set out in clause three of these Terms and Conditions.                                                                                                                                                                      1.5. 'The Obligations of The School' means those set out in clause nine of these Terms and Conditions.                                                                                                                                                                     1.6. 'The Payment Fee' refers to the sum payable to The School for its Services.                                          1.7. 'The Services' means any service supplied by The School. This includes private tuition, corporate training, language classes,  training courses, accommodation arrangement and airport collections. This includes arrangements made by the school to organise the provision of its services.                                                                                                                                                                            1.8. 'The Teacher' means the individuals selected by The School to provide training as personnel to conduct the services.
  2. Acceptance                                                                                                                                                                       2.1. The Client accepts these Terms and Conditions by paying part or the whole of The Payment Fee. The terms and conditions remain valid regardless of any information given by agents of the school.                                                                                                                                                                              2.2. Agreements with and promises made by representatives or personnel of The School shall not be binding unless confirmed by a Director of the School in writing.
  3. The Obligations of the Client                                                                                                                                              The Client must:                                                                                                                                                  3.1. Be at least 18 years of age to register The Participant.                                                                                3.2. Be at least 8 years of age to use The School's services.                                                                             3.3. Allow The School a minimum of at least 7 days from the receipt of The Payment Fee, to arrange the assessment of the first lesson of private tuition and corporate training.                                                 3.4. Notify The School of any cancellation in writing as per the procedure set out in clause five.                                                                                                                                                                                     3.5. The Participant is expected to attend their sessions at the scheduled time.
  4. Reservations                                                                                                                                                                                 4.1.   If The Client would like to reserve a place on the course a minimum non-refundable deposit is required. For courses under £250 a deposit of at least £50 is required. For courses over £250 the minimum course deposit is £250 or the value of the course. If The Client fails to leave a deposit The Participant is not guaranteed a place on the course and this place may be given to a fully paid member if demand is high.
  5. Cancellations and Refunds                                                                                                                                                   5.1Please note The School reserves to right to cancel or postpone courses at any time. If a course is canceled The Participant is entitled to a place on another course.                                               
    5.2.  The School reserves the right to cancel a course if membership is below the required minimum. Under these circumstances The Client is entitled to a place on another course. If refund is due it will be calculated according to the proportion of the course that has not been attended.                           5.3.  If The Client wishes to cancel a course before the start date this notice must be issued in writing or in person prior to the start of the course however we cannot give refunds under any circumstances.                                                                                                                                                                 5.4. In the event that the course has already started The Client may inform The School of the cancellation in writing or in person, however no refund will be due.                                                            5.5. The Cancellation of individually scheduled private tuition lessons requires a minimum of 24 hours notice, failure to do so will result in the session being charged for.                                                   5.6. Administration Fees. All changes in course dates or accommodation, including holidays,  have a charge of £35.00, which must be paid before the change is processed.                                                        5.7. No refund can be made for examination fees, travel expenses and airport transfer.                               5.8. Refunds can only be made by cheque or bank transfer and may take up to 4 weeks to be processed.
  6. Course Programmes                                                                                                                                                                6.1. All the information on course details and programmes have been published in good faith and The School reserves the right to make changes if necessary. 
  7. The Payment Fee                                                                                                                                                                          7.1.  If The Client reserves a course with a deposit The Client is under obligation to submit The Payment Fee in full prior to the last four weeks of the course. If The Client fails to do so The School may also suspend The Participants attendance until full payment becomes available.                                                                                                                                                                          7.2.  The School reserves the right to change The Payment Fees and charges as it becomes necessary. Where possible The School will try to provide notice of any changes to our fees and charges in advance.                                                               
  8. Payments                                                                                                                                                                                       8.1.   All payments must be made in pounds sterling.

    Please use the student's name as the reference for all Bank Transfers.                                                             8.2.   The Client is liable for all bank charges and will be billed for such charges on the first day if necessary.                                                                                                                                                                         8.3.   Credit card and Debit card payments are subject to a 3% bank surcharge.                                                        8.4.   Cheques, drawn on a UK bank, should be made payable to "London Language Centre".  The Participants full name should be written clearly on the back of the cheque.                                                8.5.   Clients must complete payment for the whole course before it begins. In the event that the Client wishes to pay for the course in smaller payments, they must pay the correct rate as per length of course and will adjust it at the end of their desired study, provided they request this.
    The school only recognises cleared funds.
  9. 'The Obligations of the School'                                                                                                                                       Specific Obligations for Public classes                                                                                                            9.1. Provide a replacement Teacher in the event that The Teacher can no longer continue with the course.                                                                                                                                                                    9.2. In the event of unforeseen circumstances arising the company will endeavor to make reasonable alternative arrangements.                                                                                                                                                                  Specific Obligations for Private Tuition and Corporate Training.                                           9.3. Contact The Client immediately if The Teacher needs to cancel a lesson.                                              9.4. Rearrange a canceled lesson if possible during the same week.                                                                9.5. Provide a replacement Teacher in the event that The Teacher can no longer continue to provide a replacement The Service at the Client's convenience.                                                                                        9.6. Provide a full refund of The Payment Fee if The School has not been able to arrange of The Clients first lesson within 7 to 45 days of receiving The Payment Fee.     
  10. Complaints                                                                                                                                                                                     10.1.  If for any reason The Client is unhappy with anything please submit it to The School in writing and The School will endeavor to provide a response and resolution within 28 days of receiving it. If it is still felt that the complaint has not been resolved it should be addressed in correspondence to a manager or Director.                                                                                                               10.2.  Queries and Complaints. The Client or The Participant should bring any problems to our attention immediately in order for The School to help. The School does not accept retrospective complaints or queries.        
  11. Upgrading and Downgrading Courses                 
    11.1. No refund will be made if The Client wishes to downgrade their course to one of a lesser value.                                                                                                                                                                                 11.2. If The Client wishes to exchange their original course to one of a greater value, they must pay the difference at the time of requesting the upgrade.                     
    11.3. Changing to a different level of the course is dependent on availability and is at the managers discretion.
  12. Liability                                                                                                                                                                                 12.1.   Liability. The School does not accept liability in case of illness, accident, loss or damage to personal effects or property.                      
  13. Insurance                                                                                                                                                                                       13.1.   The Client is strongly recommended to take out appropriate insurance for The Participant's stay in the UK. Please make sure you have adequate health and travel insurance before coming to Britain. Please contact The School for details.           
  14. Student Visas                                                                                                                                                                                14.1. The School is unable to offer any student sponsorship or visa assistance to The Client or The Participant, as the school does not hold a sponsor licence to sponsor students. It is The Client's responsibility to check the legal UK immigration requirements as they relate to The Participant and the country of study of The Participant's residence and citizenship. The Clients must assess the eligibility of the Participant to study under these circumstances before booking a course. The School will not be held responsible for any losses or damage occurred from failing to do this.
  15. Public Holidays                                                                                                                                                                        15.1.  There are no reductions or discounts in tuition fees for courses that include a public holiday.                                                                                                                                                         15.1.1.  If The Participant is receiving private tuition there is the option to schedule lessons around these holidays, on the condition that this information is provided at the start of the course.
  16. Attendance                                                                                                                                                                           16.1.  Minimum attendance is 90%. Certificates are issued only if minimum attendance is achieved.                                                                                                                                                                 16.2. If The Participant fails to attend 3 sessions they will be removed from the course without notice. When The Participant returns they may be given a place on a course subject to course space and availablilty. The participant may lose their space if they fail to enrol.
  17. Conduct and behaviour                                                                                                                                                17.1.  The School reserves the right to cancel The Participants enrolment, with no refunds, in the event of misconduct or unsatisfactory behaviour. Good conduct is required from The Participant at all times. The management's decision is final.
  18. Amendments                                                                                                                                                                          18.1. The School reserves the right to amend and change the times and dates of courses as well as the venues in which the classes or sessions will be held. The school reserves the right to change teachers, rooms, class time and combine courses if necessary.
  19. Website Content                                                                                                                                                                          19.1.  The informational content within this site has been prepared with the intention to only give a general indication of what Services The School offers. The information on this site is presumed to be correct at the time of publishing.
  20. Jurisdiction                                                                                                                                                                                    20.1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance to the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
