There are 25 hours tuition per week in
international classes taught in the mornings and afternoons. An hour in our summer school for children is 60 minutes.
Students are tested when they arrive and placed in a group of English according to
their level of English.
We accept students at all levels from Beginner to Advanced.
The syllabus is linked to the Common European Framework. Our “can do”
statements to ensure that students cover all areas of essential English
and learn skills which are practical, relevant and useful.
The first two lessons are based on a coursebook and focus on grammar,
vocabulary, reading and writing whilst the second two lessons
concentrate on speaking, listening and pronunciation.
The afternoon lessons often include games, songs, group work, films, projects
and magazine work to make learning more fun.
All students receive course materials or books. All teachers are suitably
qualified and many have experience of teaching children.
Students are placed in mixed nationality classes according to age and
level, and English is taught using a range of modern techniques and
materials.
The lessons combine with a full activities and excursions
programme, providing the ideal environment for students of all levels to
improve their English whilst gaining in personal confidence.
At the end of their course students will receive a course certificate to
mark their learning achievement.
Outside lessons there is a excursion social programme including excursions in London and other cities.
